Free for accompanied children, the space is aimed at families and offers a tactile approach to sculpture: modeling, assembling, drawing, reading, and sensory awakening are conceived as multiple ways to connect with material and form.
The big new feature in 2026, “In the Lab!
”, complements the free zones with a guided space offering five workshops led by instructor-guides: online registration required for these sessions.

The path is self-directed with no mediation or time limits: each family moves at their own pace from one workshop to another. The Rodin Workshop “The Little Ones’ Hut!

By offering touching, modeling, and playing, it transforms the museum into a place where sculpture is learned physically and through experimentation, at child’s scale.
“In the Lab!” - Five Guided Practice Workshops
The major new feature in 2026 offers supervised sessions to deepen the craft.
“In the Lab!” is a separate space dedicated to practice: families and small groups book online to participate in one of the five offered activities.
The program covers complementary approaches to sculpture, from plastic gesture to drawing: modeling, collage and volume fragmentation, sketchbook initiation, direct handling of materials, and even proposals blending body and movement. Among sessions, In Shape introduces modeling and collage from six years old, Jack-of-All-Trades puts materials and tools in children’s hands, and Get Your Pencils invites observational drawing, sometimes in the museum garden.
Each workshop is led by an instructor-guide, designed as a real time for practice and observation, distinct from free zones and subject to registration.

A dismantlable scenography, a visual by a young artist For its anniversary, “The Rodin Workshop” at Musée Rodin occupies all the spaces during a festive weekend. The five activities of “In the Lab!
” are then accessible by on-site registration, a photo studio is set up in front of the official poster, and families picnic on the garden's green carpet. Studio Vaste, the workshop's scenographer since the beginning, designs the scenography for this fifth edition.
Specializing in cultural space design, this Parisian studio creates each set with reuse logic: furniture and materials from previous seasons are reworked and adjusted based on visitor feedback. The workshop is fully dismantlable.
The 2026 poster is by Jade Favre-Nicolin, an art direction student at e-artsup Lyon and apprentice tattoo artist. Her drawing reduces The Thinker to a few clean lines and patches of vivid color.
